My name is Jessica, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently practicing in California and awaiting Oregon licensure.
I have been doing therapy for about 8 years and have experience in many different treatment areas such as private practice, non-profit, residential treatment of eating disorders, grief/loss, trauma, critical incident response and debrief, substance use, dually-diagnosed clients, chronic homelessness and severely mentally ill. Phew! That is a long list of experience. This has allowed me to gather a wide breadth of training.
I have worked for 7+ years in the health industry in conjunction with my mental health work where I have supported clients in overcoming sports performance anxiety, developing mental toughness, increasing self-esteem/confidence, working through health concerns and emotional eating.
I find myself using a Strengths-Based approach to therapy and utilizing the strengths my clients have within them as a foundation to build upon to help them move on with their daily lives. My hopes with all my clients are that they feel they are able to work at their maximum potential and gain useful skills to remove any barriers they are currently experiencing and tools to overcome future concerns.
