About me

My name is Jessica Wagner and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of New York. I graduated with my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from Medaille College. I completed an internship of 3,000 hours of intern to receive my license that focused on adult mental health and wellness as well as the justice system working with inmates in the correctional facility. Since the time of becoming licensed, I have also worked in the field of mental health counseling working with teens, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with all different mental health disorders. I particularly have a focus on mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and many forms of personality disorders. I use an eclectic approach to therapy including person-centered approach and focus on skills ranging within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma informed therapy. I also have experience using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy.
