About me
Hello,
First, I want to say I commend your courage for taking this next step in seeking out assistance at Better Help. My name is Jessica Xiong. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Colorado and Oregon with over 5 years of experience. I am passionate about being able to come alongside my clients and helping them reach the goals they want to accomplish in therapy and become the person they desire to be.
My experience varies across many different settings. I've worked as a therapist at a community mental health agency, a counselor at a residential facility for troubled teen girls, a staff counselor for men and women with substance use disorder, and an adult mentor with individuals with disabilities. I have assisted clients with a wide range of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem and self-identity issues, relationship and family issues, social competencies, and addiction. I have provided individual, family, and group therapy from adolescents to adults.
Overall, my goal is to provide a genuine therapeutic relationship and a safe space for my clients to feel heard, welcomed, and respected. I look forward to possibly getting to know you more and beginning this process with you.

Enjoy my sessions. I feel accomplished after each session.
I have only been with Jessica for a short while, but I already can see how much knowledge she has. I feel listened to, supported and I know she will explore every avenue to help me.
Jessica helps to understand what my frustrations are and then gives me the tools to help me handle them without feeling guilty or like I've done something wrong. I feel more equipped to handle my work load and home load after having sessions with her.
Jessica is amazing.
Jessica is an amazing counselor. She brings a great perspective and helped guide me at times when I didn't know what to do in order to grow or help myself improve. I appreciate the structure she applied to our sessions by defining goals upfront and how comfortable she made me feel. I felt like she understood my issues and that made me feel seen and heard. She's going on maternity leave now so I'll miss working with her, but I highly recommend her services for when she's back from maternity leave.
Jessica is very professional.
Jessica is an experienced and helpful counselor. She listens and is very supportive. She also incorporates worksheets to help solidify what is discussed during the session. I shared my journal entry with her and she responded very timely. I feel lucky that I was matched with Jessica Xiong to be my counselor.
My therapy sessions with Jessica have been nothing short of amazing. I was so lost, sad, didn't know how to cope with my emotions or mental state at the time I signed up for therapy. Initially, I chose to work with Jessica because of her schedule flexibility and availability in general; not to mention her specific expertise. I found her to be someone who is well equipped to understand my problems and better assess my condition and provide the necessary guidance in helping me cope with my particular circumstances. Through our sessions, that is exactly what I found and I am so grateful I did. She is very knowledgeable, organized, patient, and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially to those who are getting started with therapy for the first time. I did not receive counseling prior to working with Jessica, but now that I have; I can not recommend it enough!
Jessica has been extremely helpful. She listens to my concerns and addresses them thoughtfully and carefully. I would highly recommend her for anyone in need of help.
Jessica is amazing. She is so sweet, she listens to me and she understood what i needed to work on right away. I am so glad I found her!!
