About Me
I am a licensed professional counselor from North Carolina, working in the public mental health setting since 2017. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, self-esteem and drug addiction. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is client-centered and interactive. I believe respect, sensitivity, and compassion are vital supportive components of the therapeutic process. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based counseling. One of my therapeutic tools is “meeting your emotions where they are” and exploring what that means for you through healthy coping skills. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek support towards a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.
If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
She is compassionate and cares and listens to me and has helped me so much
Jessica is respectful, attentive and understanding. She is a great listener and provides useful advice as well as helpful activities/worksheets to do between meetings. She is focused and well-organized and is laid back and flexible about establishing meeting times. So far, I have been quite satisfied.
