About Me

Hi, I'm so thankful you are reaching out for therapeutic support and hope you allow me to be that person. I graduated from Wheaton College with my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2005. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and have 15 years of experience working with a diverse population and variety of issues/situations.  I've helped people process grief and trauma, significant life changes, work through depression, anxiety, and family/relationship stressors.  I also have experience working with people with substance abuse.  I draw on different therapy approaches to best suit an individual to meet their therapy goals. Client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, emotion focused therapy, are some of those therapeutic approaches.   It is the therapeutic relationship we build of trust and respect that is the foundation to make any intervention successful.

So whether you are battling an episode of depression or anxiety or need help maneuvering through this specific season in your life, I would love to partner with you through it.  I truly enjoy hearing every individual's life story and helping them through whatever thoughts, feelings, and situations that are causing distress. I believe in empowering individuals and guiding them to the insights and answers needed to grow and move forward by asking thought provoking questions. It is a privilege to be asked to join a person in their personal growth, a privilege I hope to be entrusted with by you!

I've only just started seeing Jill, and she has already helped me tremendously in understanding my concerns and challenges. It is so valuable to have someone so kind and empathetic to talk to. I look forward to seeing what I learn and how I grow from this time working with her.

I've found working with Jill to be really helpful for me - she's great at untangling my issues and working with me on addressing them. She combines being very professional with warmth and openness, so I instantly felt at ease talking to her, despite our sessions being virtual. I've already recommended Better Help to multiple friends as I've had such a positive experience.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jill! She is an answer to my prayers.... she is exactly who I needed to get through my desperate moments of depression and anxiety. I feel 100% safe and confident with her care. Like I said... there are too many wonderful things that I could say because she is amazing. Thank you Jill!!!! For everything you do!!!!

Excellent insightful and professional. Jill establishes a safe and trusting therapy environment from the first moment. Her wisdom feels practical and applicable immediately. Her observations are astute, but never harsh or critical. Amazing how connected we still feel over video. It’s convenient and safe. Thanks Jill!
