About me

Welcome and congratulations for having the courage to seek counseling!

My name is Dr. Jillian DeGroot and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold a Doctorate degree in Social Work. I have over 8 years of experience as a full time School Social Work Supervisor and therapist. As a therapist, I help my clients break through the obstacles that hold them back in life. By asking the right questions and empowering them with the proper tools and techniques, I helps clients take action in pursuit of their goals and ambitions. My clinical practice and experiences have provided me the opportunity to help individuals and families overcome life's hardships. Working within relationship difficulties, life transitions, careers challenges, depression and anxiety, has helped in developing my treatment approach.

Helping clients shape their perspective into a healthy and productive one is important to the therapeutic process. Whether it’s your career, your relationships, or anything else that’s important to you, counseling will help you develop the habits and skills to effectively deal with the challenges and emotional moments you may encounter in life. I take an authentic, empathic approach to therapy. The creation of a safe, comfortable space adds value to your treatment. A high standard for the protection of your privacy and upholding the limits of confidentiality can be anticipated.
