My professional experience has mainly been with people diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness 18 +. I have worked with many individuals who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder, and I have worked extensively with people diagnosed with personality disorders and/or substance abuse issues.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities which include; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Gestalt Therapy, and Psychoanalysis. A very personable and truly caring person with great expertise and reliability. Joan is definitely someone that I feel like I can trust because she looks at me as a person and not as a member

This has been an essential tool for staying healthy during the political and pandemic climate. It’s too late now but I would have liked to have been offered a BIPOC therapist.
