When I chose to work with Joanne I was seeking a fellow. As a therapist myself, it can be challenging to find someone with the right mix of similar and different perspectives needed to help cut through my own internal diaglogue/ BS. I felt that at this time in my life I needed to have a therapist that I identified with as I continue to navigate my racial identity as a mixed-race woman in today's US. Joanne has met both of those needs and I continue to appreciate our work together. I have and will continue to recommend her to friends/colleagues.

Joanne is great at what she does! I felt safe talking to her, as she made sure that I didn’t feel judged at all. I talked to her about certain issues that involve LGBTQ and anxiety. I would highly recommend her help if you suffer with the same issues. Thank you Dr Joanne for your time!

I really enjoy my sessions with Ms. Jones. Shes very personable, kind and really listens to what I have to say. Shes also very gentle in the way she goes about things and I dont ever feel pressured. Shes made the counseling experience a very positive one for someone who was concerned about its efficacy. I would definitely recommend her and Betterhelp.

Joanne is a great counselor. She is a great listener but also cuts into your thesis and then helps you identify cognitive and actionable steps to move out of a negative area and into a positive mindset. She’s really great at maintaining honesty and practicality in her advise and feedback.

I really appreciate how Joanne asks me what I want to talk about. She doesn't judge my feelings. She helps me realize where those feelings are coming from. She's patient. Doesn't hurry with time. I'm even the first one to end the session.
Thank you, Joanne. :)

In the short time that Joanne worked with me I felt like she was pro-active in assisting me. She provided me with different options to sort through my troubles. Due to an insurance change I had to end our counseling sessions.

Joanne is a lovely human. She really listens, she's patient and calm and oh so very wise. When I started with Joanne, I was managing my anxiety with junk food and shutting myself away from the world. Now I've stopped eating junk food and I have a set of tools I can pull out at any time to turn down the volume on my anxiety levels.
I was able to talk freely with Joanne, I never once felt any judgment and so I felt so secure that I could share with her exactly how I was feeling, and if I was struggling to get the words out to describe my feelings, she never jumped in to put words into my mouth but gave me the space to talk.
Joanne is an extremely talented counselor and I highly recommend her.
