I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Northwestern Pennsylvania and have been providing therapy in various capacities for almost twenty years. I've worked with many different populations, ages, and in various settings to provide therapy to those in need. I've spent a great deal of time honing my skills to best assist those with struggles regarding relationship issues, parenting problems, communication issues, and trauma-related concerns. However, my scope has often included working with individuals who present with depression, anxiety, marital conflict, family conflict, mood disorders, and many others. A great deal of my experience has been centered around children/adolescents, family systems work, and trauma-narrative therapy.
My counseling style is best described as open, warm, accepting, and curious. I'm creative in my treatment planning and provide a unique perspective on concerns presented to me during sessions or other correspondence. I employ an empathic and supportive approach to issues, an do so in a direct manner to best help clients truly work toward enacting change in their own lives. I will gladly tailor any discussions and/ or treatment planning to each client's individual needs!
Asking for support in our lives can often be a difficult choice, and that's why I believe it takes courage for individuals to reach out, share their stories, and bravely work on identified goals. I very much look forward to the work we will do together!
Additional areas of focus: Trauma and abuse, Self esteem, Depression, Coping with life changes, Attachment Issues, Blended Family Issues, Communication Problems, Family of Origin Issues, Family Problems, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Post-traumatic Stress

Jocelyn is down to earth and relatable. She really takes the time to help you by keeping up with communication in between meetings. I do not feel judged by her despite the things we talk about, and I find that I walk away with something useful every time we talk. Jocelyn is upbeat and friendly, and I am so glad that I found her.
