I have worked in the social service and mental health field for nearly 30 years. I am licensed in Washington with 22 years of experience providing psychological services within school, hospital, prison, and community mental health settings in California, Oregon, and Washington. The majority of individuals that I work with struggle with anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, interpersonal dysfunction, chronic pain, and life transitions.
People describe me as calm, empathic, and balanced. I believe in the potential of those I see. I know people can and do manage and sometimes overcome debilitating mental health conditions. My interventions are based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy for interpersonal dysfunctions. I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills will such as mindfulness, distress tolerance & emotional regulation skills, and Non-Violent Communication skills in therapy.
