I have been a mental health counselor for 20 years and have helped countless amounts of clients learn about the disease of addiction, deal with depression and anxiety and issues that they have due to childhood and recent traumas; including grief and loss issues. I specialize in trauma, substance addiction, co-dependency and abuse issues as well as domestic violence and family issues. I also have a lot of clients with anxiety and depression issues. I use processing trauma and past issues as my main form of work within the therapeutic alliance and come from a cognitive, behavioral and psychoanalytical perspective when it comes to engaging with clients.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado (LPC), Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). I have a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of NY at Stony Brook and a Masters of Science in Education with a Major in Counseling with distinction from Hofstra University in NY. I have also taken Graduate level classes at Florida Atlantic University to advance my studies.
I tend to break through surface level issues and get to the core issues a person has in order to promote change and well being in the individual. People tend to open up to me due to my empathy and understanding of trauma and it's effects on their behaviors.

Jodi is prompt in responding to my messages and if she doesn't hear from me in a while, checks in with me. She is always there for me and supportive, yet she doesn't just take my side, she gives me real advice based on the situation, just not what she thinks I want to hear.
I am so glad that she is my counselor. I am slowly but surely improving in a way I am supposed to.
Jodi is great!
Jodi is a great person to talk to. She's very insightful and helps me look at problems in different ways.
Ms. Turner is very supportive and empathetic to a myriad of issues that may require it and yet she is skilled in the rational, pragmatic steps needing to be accomplished for the resolution process to excel.
An amazing councilor. She is very supportive and understanding but will also tell you the truth and what you need to hear- Which is very refreshing.
Really great! I didn't respond to her messages for a long time but she didn't give up and kept in contact.
She's very direct and cuts through the fat which I need.
Jodi Turner has been a huge relief and a trusted counselor for me. I feel confident enough with her to share my fears and concerns and I receive a non-judgemental, productive and thoughtful response from her. She has proven to be invaluable to me.
