Dr. John Geerdes, LMFT
About me
I am a 70 year male therapist who has practiced in both private and public settings. I have spent many years working on child abuse cases and giving court testimony. Additionally, I work with children as young as 2 years of age, adolescents, teenagers, couples, individuals and all groups of older ages. As you would expect, I have worked extensively with families and their children in a family therapy setting to help them function at a higher level. I am an ordained minster of 41 years, have held the position of head hospital chaplain at a local regional hospital and will do seminars on stress and family relationships when requested.

Dr. Geerdes has been amazing to work with. I’m constantly taking notes through our sessions. I’m challenged for the future weeks to think and live more aware. He’s been an asset for my graduate school program, but also my own personal growth. It is not just the clinical piece I appreciate, but also the Christian. He brings both. You don’t find that a lot anymore

Dr Geerdes is doing a great job. I like his approach, and although we have only been thru one session, i enjoyed the conversations and recommendations.
