About Me
Hi there!
I am a licensed therapist in Connecticut with experience working with individuals, families, and couples. I have worked in Out Patient facilities, In-Home programs, and in University Counseling Centers. My work has provided me with experiences treating clients of all ages from all walks of life. I have treated clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQIA* related challenges, parenting / teen concerns, and substance use. I also have experience treating clients struggling with trauma, sleeping disorders, personal growth related challenges, and crisis / adjustment issues.
I am passionate about the work I do and strongly believe that finding a therapist that you can connect with is the most important part to a successful therapeutic journey. With that said, I use a strength based, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach in my work. What I mean by that is, I view my work with clients as a partnership. Together we can work to achieve your goals.
In my work with clients, I use some leading psychological modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Feminist Theory, Queer Theory, and Solution-Focused Therapy. For my professional growth, I continuously read related literature, keep myself up to date with the ethical and legal guidelines in the field, and the latest research, and attend conferences and trainings.
I welcome non-traditional families and people who live alternative lifestyles. I am sex-positive in my approach and I am a LGBTQIA* affirming therapist.
