Hello and welcome! My name is Jonathan Zucker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Idaho. For over 16 years, I have been providing therapy to children, families, teenagers and adults from all sorts of cultural backgrounds. My passion is to help people cope with and move past their painful issues in a comfortable and honest atmosphere.
My therapy style is an authentic experience that can pull from the therapeutic techniques I utilize interchangeably, but not limited to, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive therapy (REBT), DBT, mindfulness and positive regard. I urge my clients to provide me with feedback as to how the therapy sessions are going so I can focus on the areas they deem most serious.
I am also a musician, an avid fan of all kinds of music and truly enjoy experiencing new cultures.
I look forward to meeting you and provide you with support and guidance that will fit your way of being.

Jonathan is awesome
Jonathan is down to earth and a great listener. He addresses my concerns and makes me think about things from a. Different perspective. He is always there when I need him and makes it so I’m able to be completely open and honest with him without judgement.
Jonathan has been great at taking in different aspects of situations I seek help with, then providing productive & concise feedback on actionable responses to the situations at hand. Prior to talking things out with him I was overwhelmed with what seemed to be a hopeless mess of intertwined situations. After 3 sessions I have been given a renewed sense of hope, taken action towards improvements and seen results from those actions. His experience & ability to cut to the core of the situation is a wonderfully beneficial skill.
Helped me find the right words to express to a loved one how I was feeling and helped me through a hard time.
Having Jonathan as my counselor has honestly been life-changing for me. Many times, he has been the only person I felt I could trust and confide in. He listens and has really gotten to know me. He cares about my well being and I honestly could not ask for more. The most amazing therapist I’ve ever met and I’m so grateful for his help.
I like how Jonathan manages to find a positive in the situations and dealing with and helps me find a solution
Jonathan is unlike any counselor or therapist that I've ever known or thought would exist. He makes me feel more like he's a long-time confidant but with strong counseling knowledge and expertise. We can talk as friends but he can help lead and guide me in a way that allows me to grow...to be challenged but allowing me to come to my own answers. I appreciate the way in which Jonathan encourages me and is always there to discuss or share any and all details with. Very happy I found him through this service.
I can't even explain to how much Jon has helped me out. The amount of good information he has is amazing. I recommend Jon for people who are ready to learn about themselves. Who are not afraid to admit to their mistakes. You want someone to show you how to remove the weight off your shoulders? Jon is your guy. He is not here to pamper you. He is there for the right answers that you need in your life. You don't point the arrow to him to reassure yourself, he points it back at you to see the truth of you as a person. You have to be ready to learn, and most importantly, listen. That could go to any therapist. In short, he is one of the best counselors and deserves to be in the hall of fame. I thank him every day for what he has taught me.
We are still at what I would consider the beginning of our journey but he has built my confidence that we will go somewhere great together
I enjoy my interaction with Jonathan. Our phone calls are positive and always leave me feeling positive. I am grateful to have found better help.com and Jonathan.
