I am a practicing Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, LCMHC, with the State of North Carolina with over 18 years of experience. Most of clinical work has been done in crisis settings. This work has afforded me the opportunity to gain much needed experience and hone my skills as a clinician. I have worked with all age demographics from pre adolescents to geriatrics.
One thing I would tell you is that a have a real passion and commitment to counseling and the therapeutic process. It is and has been what I love to do. I put tremendous value on the importance communication, language, and building a good therapeutic relationship or rapport. Its important to me that you, the patient feel safe, heard, and valued.
My counseling style is very laid back and supportive, with a very non-judgmental stance. However, I am not afraid to roll my sleeves up and work hard. I believe in being supportive, motivating, and challenging. Its important that you have the opportunity to work hard, learn, grow, while developing realistic attainable and measurable goals.
I look forward to working with you. You can schedule an appointment through our website. Also please feel free to reach out and contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I will make every effort to get back with you as soon as possible.

Jonathon Payne has been my therapist for about 6-9 months and he has helped me tremendously. I was in a very rough spot and he offered advice, listened to me, urged me to help myself. He really helped me see the "why" behind some of my behaviors which in turn helped me to start to change the things about me that I didn't like.
