About me

Hello my name is Jordan and I am a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 7 years of extensive experience providing mental health services to a wide variety of clients. I have successfully provided mental health services in a variety of settings with highly diverse populations diagnosed with moderate-severe Axis I mental health diagnoses. Originally, I was born and lived most of my life in London, England where I was fortunate to receive the highest education at the best schools. Later I moved to California where I enrolled in Graduate School at The University of California with my Masters degree in Social Work. Upon graduating from The University of Southern California with her Masters in Social Work Summa Cum Laude - full honors, in 2017, I dedicated myself to providing mental health services to the most at-risk on the streets of Skid Row, out of the JWCH Institute. I worked as part of a highly expert team of professionals to improve and advocate for the lives of all adults in need through psychotherapy primarily. Going in-field into the Skid Row area was my privilege to work with individuals from all walks of life experiencing severe mental health issues, co-occurring addictions, and working collaboratively with a team to improve their life circumstances.
After several years, I chose to gain experience working with children and their families did so by joining Wellnest (FKA LACGC). Working again in-field, I provided mental health services to children and teens while also coordinating with parents and other family members. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change,
A specialty that is close to my heart is Chronic Pain and its effect on mental health. I have been recognized at the National level by the American Chronic Pain Association for my contributions and for the curriculum I developed for the Los Angeles Chapter and I continue to seek out the latest conferences, treatment and evidence based practices for those in chronic pain seeking therapy. My career has primarily been spent in-field, which has meant meeting individuals where it has been most convenient for them and their schedules. This is something I truly value when providing services and Teletherapy is another example of how I can provide psychotherapy in this way. I value the opportunity to meet individuals who find it best to receive therapy services online. I want to reach out to others who feel alone, who feel misunderstood or simply feel like they would benefit by talking to someone.
I am looking forward to providing you or your loved ones with the help they need.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jordan Allan. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I was always skeptical about receiving therapy, as it never worked well for me in the past. I decided to recently give it a try and I matched with Jordan. She has totally changed my view on therapists and therapy in general. She’s so kind and always listens to what I have to say. She’s helped me look at things a different way and value myself more just in the few sessions I’ve had with her. While staying very professional, she doesn’t make it seem like a business interaction. I feel like I’m speaking to someone who truly cares about me and isn’t seeing me just in that way. I like how she doesn’t judge anything I say one bit or criticize any of my life decisions. (I’ve had this experience in the past with other therapists). It really makes you feel important especially when she always messages back even during random hours of the day. I appreciate Jordan very much and really like her. I recommend everyone to speak with Jordan as your therapist. She really goes above and beyond to help her clients and it shows. Thank you for all you do!
