Hi! My name is Jordan Pepper. I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed by the state of Ohio. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Community Mental Health Counseling, both from Ohio University. Prior to obtaining my counseling license I spent many years assisting victims of crime as they navigated the criminal justice process and worked as a case manager in a behavioral health agency. I have experience working with many types of trauma, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, and family conflict. I have extensive experience working with adolescents suffering from depression, anxiety, addiction, low self-esteem and relationship problems, among others.
My approach to counseling is to take a directive approach when necessary, but ultimately the client is in the driver's seat. People exist in various stages of readiness for change, and no single counseling approach works for every person. I like to call this the "meet them where they are" approach. First and foremost, I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is necessary in order for counseling to be effective. By providing unconditional positive regard, empathy, genuineness, and encouragement, I try to help clients see that they do have the power to effect change. I like to work together to set realistic, attainable, and measurable goals. Throughout the counseling process, I like to "check in" on these specific goals to see how we are doing, and re-evaluate as necessary.
I utilize a variety of platforms, including texting, email, phone calls and video chat.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jordan Pepper. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
She’s always polite and I never feel judged. You can tell that she really cares about you just by how attentive she is to you . She’s amazing
I feel comfortable, supportive, open, and strengthen to be me. I reflect our conversation & I am growing to value myself & being able to heal. Taking it step by step ^-^
Jordan has helped me so much since I started talking to her and is always kind and supportive.
Jordan is an extremely understanding and flexible counsellor who really focuses on working in a way that works for you. From her timings, the structure of the sessions and the insights she provided she has made my BetterHelp experience an absolute pleasure. Not worrying about this element of my life has created space in my brain to focus on the content of our sessions and my own positive mental health journey. I’ve highly recommended BetterHelp due to my experience with Jordan and I hope everyone can have as positive of an experience as I have had.
I’ve been working with Jordan for a few months now and she has been wonderful! Always responds to my messages in a timely manner, with well thought out responses and great advice. She’s been flexible to work with my schedule and has been available using all platforms offered.
Really pleased thus far.
Jordon is very responsive, a great listener. I'm finding this approach to counseling more efficient than my previous attempts. I am enjoying working on the journal and my goals. I'm finding the active approach very helpful in putting me in a more positive mindset. She will also help you keep on track and check on you regularly asking the right questions which makes you challenge your thinking patterns. Would highly recommend :)
