My name is Joshua Doyle and I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor. I served 7 and a half years in the United States Army as an 11B (Infantry) Soldier before becoming a Counselor. I became interested in Psychology while I was deployed to the Middle East. I saw many individuals suffer from many mental illnesses while I was deployed but most never got help because of the stigma involved with mental health issues. This is a very common problem I have seen, both as a Soldier and a Counselor. As a result, my services are very humanistic in nature. I provide assistance to individuals using a combination of CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, and Motivational Interviewing. As a Counselor, I have found that Motivational Interviewing is very helpful because a lot of individuals want help but don't fully understand what it is that is happening to them. This is for a number of reasons including, where a person grew up, economic status, culture, race, and gender; to name a few. Individuals who accept my services can expect to receive, not only counseling, but also education. It is the firm belief of every Rogerian or Humanistic Counselor, that every individual who presents for counseling services are intelligent and insightful enough to solve their own problems. As a counselor, I have found that most people are able to solve their own problems with the help and guidance of a trained and Professional Mental Health Counselor.
I attended Lemoyne College for my undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. I then attended Canisius College for graduate studies and graduated with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016. I have worked a Crisis Responder on the National Veteran's Crisis Line, as well as, a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor for the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs.

My life has improved greatly since I began therapy with him!
I haven't met anyone better at guiding someone to understanding the questions they are trying to ask. Patient, with a great sense of humor, I highly recommend Josh to everyone.
Josh is very nice and understanding. Has the ability to make you feel comfortable to open up in a short time. Highly recommend.
Josh is an attentive and compassionate professional. I have gained significant knowledge in regards to mental health, and a better understanding of the complexities of my diagnosis. He is working with me to put effective coping skills into practice.
Josh was both incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic right off the bat. He not only helped me gain skills to cope with my own stressors and thought patterns, but helped me understand what a family member with mental illness may be going through - while sharing helpful resources for myself and my family. I particularly enjoyed Josh’s demeanor, honesty, and ability to still make me laugh despite not quite feeling like myself. Josh is a fantastic therapist - I would highly recommend him.
Joshua's understanding of therapy and his skill in explaining things made it easy to believe what he says, highly recommend :)
Joshua Doyle is very informed, and knows whsy to say. Thank you
I can strongly recommend Joshua, after only a couple of sessions I could feel the benefits from talking to him. He very quickly understood where I was at and what I needed and based on that he was able to offer me support and practical advice that I could put into practice. Very happy with my sessions so far!
Very straightforward while maintaining compassion ☺️
