All of us, at some point, encounter a problem that seems insurmountable. For more than 25 years, I have helped a variety of people from all walks of life find solutions to issues at home, at work, in the military, at school, in their relationships or within themselves. I have in-depth knowledge of people in law careers, having worked 8 years in law firms. In addition, I was a partner is a counseling practice called Homefront LLC that counseled service members, their families, first responders and trauma survivors.
Some people have suffered loss or trauma. Others are struggling with family problems or workplace dissatisfaction. Many are feeling lost, confused or frustrated. Counseling can resolve these challenges and lead to a life that is rewarding and enjoyable.
I have a MS degree in psychology and a certification for Military/Veteran Behavioral Health from the DOD. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Delaware in the US and am a Nationally Certified Counselor.
My style of counseling involves working together in a safe and supportive space at a pace set by the client. We will identify strengths and understand challenges. We will look at behaviors that are beneficial and those that are limiting. We will design new approaches, practice new skills and assess the outcomes. Together we will craft a new direction that leads to happiness, self acceptance and achievement.
Everyone has the capacity for growth and development. And, I believe that we all deserve a happy and fulfilling life. If this is what you are looking for, I would be pleased to work with you.

Joyce is an excellent person to talk to. She remains unbiased but always has my concerns on the forefront and validates my feelings while providing ways to understand/cope with these feelings.
Joyce is such a breath of fresh air. She is always not only prompt in replying, but her replies are very appropriate, compel me to think and perpetuate my own growth. She is non-nonsense, has no issue with respectfully challenging a belief or theory and the environment is free of judgment.
Joyce is wonderful. She has been extremely helpful and I have appreciated her support.
She is thoughtful and kind during our sessions.
In such a short time of working with Joyce, she has already made a great impact in my life! She has helped me through a scary accident, but also helps me understand and cope with the struggles that I have each week. Not only does Joyce always listen to and support you, but gives you actionable things to work on to make progress!
It will be wonderful to connect with Joyce again. Joyce was my first counsellor and I seemed to have bounced through life before without needing any professional help. When I had a major crash I was connected to Joyce through Betterhelp and I was so fortunate. She is amazing and really allowed me the space to sort out the mess I was in and unpack one situation from another.
Joyce has been very helpful for me. I have struggled with anxiety my entire life and I feel she has helped me get on a path I didn't realize was possible. She is very personable and I felt it was easy to feel comfortable in sharing my struggles. It has been an overall positive experience. Thank you, Joyce!
Joyce is absolutely fantastic at what she does. Without exaggeration, she has helped me turn my entire life around.
Joyce has been very helpful and professional, her suggested methods have significantly helped me recently and I couldn't recommend her services enough.
I am so glad I have someone like Joyce to talk with. She's able to get to my core issues and make sense of the many things I write to her. And even though I write a lot, she responds in a timely manner. It's been so helpful to have someone so experienced to help me sort through my issues and thoughts. I was a little skeptical about online counseling via messaging, but I think it's a great way of communicating because I can take time to make sure that I am expressing myself the way I want to, whereas I might feel more rushed if I were talking face-to-face. I'm impressed that even though we've never spoken directly, Joyce still has been able to understand me and help me so much in the short time that I've worked with her.
Joyce Keene is an understanding counselor. She provides a variety of techniques to deal with my mental health issues.
Joyce is a wonderful, supportive therapist. She understands me and has helped me through some incredibly tough times. I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today without her. Thank you Joyce!

Joyce is professional, understanding, empathetic yet firm. I feel like we collaborate well in terms of helping me set and accomplish goals, something that anyone with depression would struggle with. I have complete trust in her abilities.
It is early days in my sessions with Joyce however she has already had a big positive impact on my life by helping me to understand more about why I’m feeling the way I feel.
Joyce has been a great help to me. I feel reassured that she understands the problems I am facing and she is helping me to put in place some tangible tools to help manage and address them.
I've been working with Joyce the past 6 months. It has been challenging to face some of the things I didn't want to realize and I can honestly say that my life changed a lot for good. She was always caring and quickly to respond. She gave me great tips and I learned a lot from her. I'm very happy I chose BetterHelp (after my experience i became an advocate) and that the system chose Joyce for me, we are a great fit!
Joyce was brilliant and patient with me. She was listening and suggested different ways to help me deal with my situation. I appreciate her very much as I was too low and down. At the moment, I am feeling that I am able to cope with it little bit. Thank you, Joyce! Highly recommended!!
She is a wonderful counselor. She found what I was struggling with right away and did an amazing job to ease my anxiety. If you are having strong anxiety caused by something in the past, she's the right person to talk to.
