About me

ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Joyce and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Arizona. I have over 20 years experience working in the mental health and substance use fields. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, hospital and addictions. My experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, life transitions, and coping with physical illnessI that impact families and loved ones.

I am passionate about self-discovery, exploration and healing. If I think of the darkest moments in my life and of those around me, I know how powerful it can be to have someone there supporting and encouraging you to be your best and most authentic self. We live in a world full of challenges and relationships that sometimes can be overwhelming and confusing. I am a therapist because I want to walk alongside people in this journey of life and help them find comfort and solace.
Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. Therapy modalities are adjusted to meet the needs of the individual..

As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Joyce Morgan. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

As a transmasculine queer person w/C-PTSD who is struggling with bouts of debilitating emotional distress trying to parent, be a good partner, full time school myself, and deal with the stress of this society we live in. Idk what Joyces views are but I always feel heard with unconditional positive regard. She encourages me in the direction of her professional experience and knowledge. I feel like I am in control and she is there to help be a mirror and introduce me to more healthy, less distressing behaviors, thoughts and beliefs.

Thoughtful and gives insights on my problems and life that help me view them from a new perspective. Helps me sort through pain and give me room to feel difficult emotions. Very respectful and kindhearted.
