I strive to empower individuals to be in tune with their deepest truths and to relate to life in a more authentic way. By providing a warm and accepting style, I hope my clients feel safe to express what matters to them. My therapeutic approach is strongly influenced by more than 10 years of dedicated mindfulness practice. Through such practices, I have come to understand the value of becoming curious about our present mental state. I believe paying close attention to our experience is fundamental in developing emotional resiliency. Thus, I utilize mindfulness and somatic approaches in supporting people to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. In doing so, I trust that our ability to welcome our experience creates possibilities for healing and being emotionally stronger.
I have over 8 years of experience working in multiple mental health settings with people of different ages, ethnic backgrounds, religious affiliations, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, and various mental health conditions. I welcome people from all walks of life, and have worked with a wide range of clients.

Awesome guy... thank you for all the help you have a great method and are super caring and gentle and kind
For the first time with my experience in therapy, I have a therapist who understands what I need in order to heal and be immersed in recovery. He offers insight and thought provoking questions. His expertise is unmatched and I am grateful for the sessions that we have together. Thank you so much!
Juan is able to meet me where I am. He is patient, a good listener, and supports me through topics that are difficult for me to talk about.
I am pleased having Juan as my therapist, and to him I say “please keep up the good work.“
Juan Angel, has been amazing, he has helped me a lot in such a small amount of time. He's very patient and applies active listening correctly, I mean I felt listened and he follows up accordingly. I definitely want to continue working with him.
I feel really lucky that I can continue working with Juan, learning from him and with him for few more weeks. He offers an incredible gift of deep compassion, acceptance and wholehearted presence. He cares to understand, asks questions, and listens. Juan is a kind, gentle, sensitive, incredibly intelligent person who offers these virtues generously as professional qualities.
He's a wonderful counselor. Not only does he take his job seriously, he also cares for his patients individually and with the utmost concern.
After having used better help with Juan for a few months now, I can say I surely won't be stopping any time soon. I travel a lot for work and wouldn't be able to be in therapy otherwise. I've gotten so much out of it too, and have suggested it to multiple people who were having a hard time finding a therapist who have gone on to use the service as well!
Juan is one of my favorite people ever as he has played a pivotal role in my growth over this past year. The way he accepted me and gave me the chance to dig deep and identify root causes to the soothing techniques he's taught or refined for me has been truly heartfelt. I look forward to spending 2019 working with Juan and capitalizing on his compassionate and authenticity!
I'm only still using BetterHelp because of Juan and my use of the app is directly tied to Juan as my Godsend!
Juan is fantastic about asking revealing and useful questions, and employing exercises that are leading to really important discoveries around my inabilities to move on.
I would just quickly like to say that Juan has been very helpful during a difficult period. I would recommend him to anyone as he listens and also offers great insight. There is so much more to say. I will need to continue to sing his praises in future reviews.
Juan is a very observant listener who isn't on here to mess around with people. He will give you an honest, unbiased opinion and will provide you with self-awareness techniques to work on your problems. It’s really up to you if you want to get better.
I like Juan. Looking forward to more sessions!
He’s personable and kind-hearted. Funny and professional. I feel comfortable talking to him about things I rarely admit to myself.
Excellent and skilled compassionate therapist. Highly recommend him to anyone seeking to make real change in their life.
Juan is amazing! He helped me through a tumultuous and overwhelming period in my life that included relationship, family, and career issues. Under his guidance I experienced several breakthroughs, which have stayed with me permanently. I feel so much stronger and optimistic - deeply grateful!
Juan is very kind and passionate.
It's great that Juan is such a great listener, it helps me more than he knows.
