About Me
Sometimes in life, we need help sorting out problems and finding our way to the best solution. This is the reason I pursued a counseling degree, after working as an educational professional for over 20 years. My background in education provides me with experience in adolescent behaviors, goal-setting and addressing family/parenting issues. I’ve honed my counseling skills to also be of help in grief work, life changes, motivation, as well as depression, anxiety and substance abuse/addiction.
The first step I take in the counseling relationship, involves empowering my clients to advocate for their emotional well-being. This means that my clients work to understand that they actually do know themselves better than anyone else. My job as their therapist is to help unravel the difficult circumstance or uncomfortable emotion that may be plaguing them. I use an eclectic style of therapy, because just as we are each individuals, not every therapeutic modality may fit a client’s personality.
My style of counseling is warm, inviting and most importantly patient with clients. I want to listen to them so we can move to a plan of action that will bring them clarity and resolution. I love working with clients and seeing hope come into their life after we work together. If you are ready to start a journey that will empower you, I am here to be your advocate!

Judy’s a really great counselor and has really helped me understand the drivers behind what I’m dealing with. She is very empathetic and provides tangible ways in which people can address their issues and achieve what they want. She uses personal examples to make her advice relateable and is very clearly knowledge of both the theory and the practice.
Today marked my first session with Judy. Needless to say, she was fantastic. This is all new to me and she did great making the experience simple, easy, and beneficial. I highly recommend her and look forward to our future sessions!
Have only had one session and she was able to identify my most important issues to tackle.
She is absolutely wonderful and I would recommend her, and Better Help, to anyone who needs help.
I love her!!! She’s made my life so much better.
Great therapist!
Judy is kind, understanding and has a lot of wisdom.
I truly am loving working with Judy. She is so kind, loving, intelligent, and also bold enough to push me through the bad things I need to work through, and I feel so much more confident having her there to give me tools to have a much stronger sense of confidence and mental health that has been lacking for a while now. Thank you Judy!!
I am so thankful for Judy and her expertise, compassion, and wisdom. She always has helpful information, advice, and tools to help with any situation. I am grateful for the many hours of her support, including early mornings or even while I am in rush hour traffic. She always accommodated my schedule and calls or video sessions.
I can count the # of people on my hand who have made such a huge impact on my life ... and she is one. Going through a crisis is hard. Going through it without a therapist like Judy would have been impossible. I am thankful for BetterHelp connecting us and making our sessions available in my time of need.
Although this time of my life has been hard, I have not felt alone thanks to Judy . And when I did feel desperate and in darkness she reminded me of who was in the fire with me. I could have lost a lot of faith in this difficult time and instead my faith is strengthened. My family is unified.
I'm eternally grateful.
Judy has helped be the calm in my storm of figuring out motherhood when I didn't have the best mother/daughter relationship to glean knowledge from. She has helped me process my anxiety, feelings of frustration as a new parent, and worked me through those every day issues. She is quick, responsive, and kind. I appreciate her real world tips and ideas to help me through. I feel safe opening up to Judy and feel she is there to be the guiding light I need during some dark times.
Judy offered me grace, humor and patience and helped me find all those things in myself.
I was very happy with my session with Judy. I felt that she listened to me and allowed me to express myself and I felt safe throughout the entire process. I would recommend Judy to anyone looking for a caring and sympathetic ear.
Judy has been a great help. She checks in and responds in a very timely manner. I believe she has gone through a grieving experience herself and that helps me know I'm understood. I would definitely recommend Judy!
