About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 8 years of clinical experience. I have received training and supervision in university medical centers, state hospitals, college counseling centers, and private practice. I have specialized training in anxiety/stress, adjustment difficulties, sleep problems, relationship issues, career problems, and coping with chronic medical illness. I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, positive psychology, and interpersonal therapies.

My warm and empathetic demeanor provides a comfortable environment in which your needs can really be heard. I believe my job is to lend a listening ear, support you, and also equip you with the tools to help you manage difficulties and problems in the future. Our sessions are about you, and what will help you the most.

Working with Dr. Kogan has been a great experience! Having a professional to communicate with and work through issues (relationship) has been wonderful for broadening my perspective and refocusing my own priorities. Dr. Kogan is very thoughtful, patient and kind. I feel very comfortable discussing my difficulties with her. She really cares about my well-being and goes above and beyond to help me with my issues. Dr. Kogan has been responsive and helpful and lends an air of objectivity to my emotions without being insensitive which helps bring things into focus in a way that might be difficult otherwise. She has never caused me to feel diminished or unimportant and it appears she always carefully considers what I write before responding.

Dr. Kogan has been a fantastic counselor for me over several months. Together, we have worked through various issues and arranged my thoughts in a way that has helped me tremendously. Dr. Kogan is very knowledgeable. She has a straight-forward yet caring approach. She listened to me when I said that what I'm looking for are mechanisms and exercises so I can practice what we discuss. And she's sent me loads of worksheets and tools. Dr. Kogan is so kind and caring. She reaches out if it's been a while since I've replied just to see how I'm doing and hope that my week is going well. Dr. Kogan is prompt, attentive, and offers a variety of solutions. She's really good at working to find a solution for the problem you're having. However, she is also gentle and compassionate.

Dr. Kogan is a good listener after a session with her I do feel better she’s definitely help me through things I’m going through she seems to know and understands some of the things I’m dealing with. She’s attentive and gets to the point without making you feel bad, she’s a good counselor!

Dr. Kogan is very responsive and even though we have spoken just one time she did give me ways and ideas on how I can relieve stress and gave me accountability on how I can do those things. She also is very responsive to text messaging via BetterHelp as well. I totally recommend her.
