About Me

Hi there! I'm Julia. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience. I have worked with a variety of age ranges in diverse settings throughout the state of Maine. I have a 3 year old chocolate lab who occupies much of my non-work related time- I love to spend time with him outdoors, spend time with my friends/family, cooking, reading, and discovering new music!

My therapeutic approach tends to be laid back, collaborative, and connection driven; I believe development of a therapeutic alliance is essential for growth! In my current practice I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a modality; with focus on indvidualized values, mindfulness, and acceptance of the human experience, I so appreciate the core principles of the ACT model. I love what I do- I love the opportunity to learn with and from others every day, watching as those that I work with unlock their fullest potential is the greatest reward. If you are experiencing impact as consequence to stress, anxiety, trauma, etc., my goal is to meet you where you are at and work together to effectively handle your painful thoughts and sensations while cultivating a rich and meaningful life.
