About Me

Hi! I'm Julie and I am glad you are here!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. For the past eight years, I have worked with clients to help them overcome and move beyond depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, parenting and family issues, and many of life’s curve balls. I passionately believe that all human beings have an innate drive towards health and wellbeing, and that each one of us can discover and cultivate this drive to become our best selves, even in the midst of life’s difficulties. Although some might say this is overly optimistic, the most recent neuroscience says it is true!

To help clients in this process, I utilize, and am certified in, two research-based models: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology. For you as a client, this means that I will work to build a trusting and supportive relationship with you first and foremost. I will also help you get specific about what you want, work with you to discover and amplify your strengths, supports, and abilities, and co-create a personalized and manageable plan to move towards the future you desire. This also means I will help you understand your neurobiology, and that we will utilize up-to-date neuroscience research to inform our approach. Change is rarely easy, and it is often a messy process, but we will navigate it together to get you to your destination.
