About me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I take both my professional and ethical obligations seriously as I understand the honor and privilege it is to work with my clients. With over 15 years of experience in the Mental Health field, the last eight of those as a Social Worker, I have developed a dynamic view of the client-therapist relationship. As a clinician, I have worked in a multitude of settings and with a large span of ages, mental health concerns and life issues, including more severe and persistent mental health conditions. From intensive out-patient services to behavioral health research settings, my professional experiences have helped me develop an approach that is trauma informed, evidence based, inclusive and compassionate. I seek to meet my client's where they are at in the therapeutic process and build a relationship that is rooted in safety and respect. I also seek to acknowledge the ways in which our environmental and societal conditions can impact a client as they embark to navigate life's challenges and heal.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and cope with life's challenges when they are empowered to establish healthy boundaries and take control of their personal narrative. I encourage clients to take steps to build the skills and seek the support needed to take an active role in the therapeutic process and in their lives.

I look forward to joining you on your journey in therapy!

Julie was awesome! She was always on time for our appointments. She listened and gave the best advice. I wish I was able to work with her longer!
