Justin Jacques, LPC
About me
I believe that compassionate, thoughtful introspection through therapy can help people reflect, grow, and change. Using a warm and engaging approach, I work with clients to create a strong therapeutic connection and collaborate to create a treatment strategy that works for them. I tailor therapy to each person’s individual needs, be that by exploring issues in relationships, teaching concrete skills to better cope with challenging emotions, behaviors, and thoughts, or simply providing a safe, empathetic space to process the events and experiences of life. I specialize in working with clients struggling with relationship issues, grief, anxiety and depression, OCD, and difficult life transitions, including changes in roles or identity. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ populations.
To best meet my clients’ needs, I employ an integrative approach, drawing from my extensive training in therapeutic models including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems. I have been a professional counselor and addiction counselor for fifteen years and have a master degree in counseling psychology and education from the University of Colorado at Denver and an educational Specialists degree from The George Washington University. I look forward to working with you to meet your personal goals!
