As a black queer woman, military veteran, complex trauma thriver, and healing advocate, I am here to promote holistic healing of the individual. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a complex clinical and career background that intersects with both my professional and personal morals. My goal is to bridge the gap and create a pathway for those who feel healing is inaccessible, out of reach, or unattainable. I recognize that we all have a story, a lens through which we view the world, and as we rediscover ourselves, we reveal parts of our soul that we once hid away for our survival. I do believe that we can challenge and change our narratives at any time.
As a practitioner, I combine a Cognitive Behavior, Humanistic, and Solution Focused therapeutic approaches while simultaneously introducing modalities that are appropriate based on client needs. Ultimately, therapy is a collaborative effort that encourages a collective approach to heal. My approach at my practice is to create a permissive space where clients feel seen, heard, and experienced. I help clients understand how our past is connected with our now, and how this knowledge can guide us through experiences in the future. I recognize the heaviness we often carry from emotionally weighted baggage that at times does not belong to us, so I bring warmth and light to every session.
I commend you for having the willingness to commit to a journey of challenging your narrative and seeking ways to show up more authentic in your life. To find an emotionally safe space to show up authentically is courageous and admirable. I am grateful for you choosing myself to walk with you on this journey of a more holistic and wholesome living.
