About me

Hi!
My name is Kaitlin Naatjes. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, yoga instructor, and reiki practitioner. I have great experience working from an integrative and holistic perspective. This means allowing space to find new and creative ways for change while integrating mind, body, and spirit nurturance for healing the whole person.

My approach as a therapist is to create space for you to feel safe and explore your needs. Each session will be tailored to meet these needs and focus on the areas of growth where you seek change. I commit to diligently working in collaboration with you (or you and your partner) to bring about the difference you desire to have in your life. Through our work together, we will identify and achieve healthy relationships, healthy lifestyle, and increase personal growth. We will build effective coping and communication skills, increase your understanding of your own self, and bringing healing to the areas you find most important.

I have created my practice by working with individuals and couples ages 16 and older. I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship/sexual issues, motivation, pre/postnatal experiences, self-esteem, food concerns, and body image issues. Treatment will include not only assessing and implementing coping skills but will identify and process past experiences that have contributed to current symptoms. This entails using a wide variety of proven methodologies of psychology along with mindfulness, meditation, and breathing practices if wanted.

I have moved around the United States since graduating college. I received my bachelors in psychology from University of New Mexico, my master’s degree from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, my yoga instructor certificate from Nebraska, and my reiki practitioner certificate from South Dakota. After much training and experience working in holistic and integrative centers, I now reside in Chicago working with clients in my private practice called Bella Valore, LLC, (Beautiful Worth).

Relationships with ourselves and others are the most important part of human existence. Healing and learning to cope with these relationships can create a happy and fulfilled life, and to make it simple... You are worth it.

I have been seeing Kaitlin for 10 months, and during this time, she has been a great support for me. She has been warm and welcoming, and I have felt comfortable in sharing everything with her. She has helped me by providing me with the space to process my thoughts and emotions, learn emotional regulation, develop coping skills for my anxiety, and learn how to manage my depressive symptoms. She has helped me through relationship issues, family concerns, body image concerns, even suicidal ideations. She is friendly, funny, and an expert!

Kaitlin is by far the best therapist I have worked with. She not only addresses my concerns (and I have plenty)- she makes me feel validated and shows me that everything is okay always. She helps me to figure situations out when my anxiety gets the better of me.
