About me

Hello and Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I started my work as a therapist in New York after obtaining my Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University. I have been working as a therapist in California for the last eight years. I have experience working with a wide variety of individuals in different settings including within community agencies, in homes, and in schools. One of my primary goals is to work with you to improve your overall quality of life.

Over my career I have dedicated myself to ongoing study and have obtained training and certifications in several evidenced based treatment interventions. Some of these include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety. I continue to attend training to further gain knowledge and provide the best treatment for my clients.

My approach to therapy is to create a partnership with you to work towards an agreed upon goal. I hope to be able to create a situation together where you will feel comfortable and confident to meet your goals. I often check my messages daily and will respond as soon as I can to all outreach. Additionally, if you do not see a time available that works for you, please feel free to contact me I am flexible to see if we can find a better time for you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kaitlyn McNulty. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Kaitlyn does a very good job of helping to navigate through my obstacles, listens very well and helps guide me to incredibly useful and satisfying plans of action. I started seeing results very quickly and I would recommend Kaitlyn to anyone who is working on the stresses in their life. Also, having the flexibility and options for my sessions (video, phone, messaging) takes the pressure off and lets me see our session in the calendar as a highlight instead of a chore.

Kaitlyn has been nothing but amazing and patient with me. She continues to help me in every single possible way she can. I always look forward to our talks because she gets me through all that I believe I couldn’t. Without her I wouldn’t be doing better for myself today. She blessed me.

Kaitlyn is the best counselor I’ve had. She is understanding, trusting, experienced, open, and flexible. It’s so nice to be able to talk to someone that is willing to listen and not brush everything off.
