Kaley Kettering

About Me

My name is Kaley, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I graduated from University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work in 2014, concentrating in Family Systems Practice with a certificate in Interpersonal Trauma Studies. I have been providing individual, family, and group therapy for over 6 years and have training in modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I specialize in helping people cope with grief and loss, difficult adjustments, parenting challenges, interpersonal stress, low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety.

As a therapist, I am a compassionate witness, confidant, collaborator, and encourager. I’m intentional in creating a safe space for clients to be authentically themselves by creating an empathetic, accepting therapeutic relationship. This therapeutic relationship, coupled with the client's motivation to create change, is the foundation of effective therapy. I draw from a variety of therapeutic tools tailored to your needs and collaborate with you to help increase self-awareness, learn new skills, and step into your power to heal, grow, and create the life you want to live.

When I'm not working, I enjoy soaking up the Colorado sunshine--hiking, biking, and exploring new places. I also find balance and time to relax through yoga, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Kaley is wonderful. She is understanding and knows which resources to suggest. I was hesitant about counseling over the phone, but I have found that Kaley could see things that traditional therapists haven’t.

Kaley is the best therapist I’ve ever worked with. She respects me and partners with me in my treatment. I’ve never felt so seen and accepted while still perfectly challenged!

I spoke weekly with Kaley Kittering for a year. I have a horrible situation of being fundamentally ostracized from my remaining siblings. I was in terrible pain. And although my status remains unchanged I am now no longer paralyzed with grief and indignation. I can accept this sad situation and turn my attention to the areas of life where I am fully excepted and appreciated. I appreciate the functioning relationships I have with my daughter, my staff and my friends. I do put more effort into building and strengthening these ties and the results are very evident. I am whole and vibrant. I can let go of what I do not have and focus on what is there for me.
