Hello! My name is Kamarra, and I am here to help you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Mental Health Therapist, I have delivered individual, family, and couples therapy, comprehensive clinical assessments, and support services with about five years of experience. I have gained experience in providing services and treatment planning for victims of domestic violence, individuals who have experienced trauma, issues with substance abuse, grief/loss, and a variation of mental health symptoms, including depression and anxiety. My experiences as a therapist have given me the opportunity to enhance continuity of care. I have developed treatment plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members as a promoter for positive change. My therapy style is empathetic, supportive, and encouraging; however, I will be solution-oriented and motivational when appropriate. I encourage others to identify their personal goals, and I see the holistic and strengths-based view of a person. As a generalist practitioner, I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions, because I believe in meeting the individual where he/she is – taking into consideration a person's experiences as a human being. I will view you as a whole being to help you gain awareness of the connections between your emotions, thoughts, and physical experiences. I use a wide-ranging approach that tailors treatment toward your unique strengths and needs. I have practiced a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused counseling and motivational interviewing techniques.
