About me

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Utah. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City in the Rose Park/Fairpark neighborhoods. I have worked in many different capacities that have always encompassed a helping component. I have experience in law enforcement, treating juvenile sex offenders, funeral counseling, substance abuse and marriage and couples counseling. My greatest joy is when I can help a client see their life struggles from a different point of view and support them through their positive transformations. It’s a beautiful thing!
I am a person who is direct in a caring and loving way, with a strong belief in “do no harm”. I work in an atmosphere of trust and have the ability to connect very quickly with clients because of my life experience and non-judgmental and diverse belief’s. I work well with most populations, with an emphasis on POC, families, couples, LGBTQi, law enforcement, substance abuse, and the many difficulties that one can face in this chaotic world that we live in.
My treatment style is eclectic, but I have found that I really enjoy anything that is found to be more positive. Solution Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, Contextual therapy and Cognitive Behavioral therapy are where my comfort zone is at. I will go where the client is because I’m here for them, they aren’t here for me.
In closing, let me say this…”Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff.”
