About me
Hi, my name is Karen Hobbs and I live in Northern Virginia. I am more than just a therapist as I am also a wife and mother to two beautiful girls. I know the challenges of working fulltime and meeting the demands of home. I have over twenty-five years of experience working as a Clinical Director, Supervisor, and Licensed Professional Counselor. With over 25 years of experience as a professional counselor, and as a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and as a graduate of Marymount University specializing in Psychological Services/Counseling. I am currently owner and clinical director at Renewing Hearts Family Counseling in Prince William County Virginia. As a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients my areas of expertise are trauma, crisis, abusive behaviors, life issues, mood disorders and codependency.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
