I enjoy walking with clients on their journey to improved mental and emotional health. Most of us spend our lifetimes trying to understand and grasp the ideas that lead to more happiness and better well-being. It is still an honor, even after 28 years of practice, to be chosen to accompany people on that path. I most enjoy issues related to phases of life, work (such as burnout, job stress, or career changes), and maintaining recovery from addiction. But, being in the business for a while means I've worked with people on all sorts of goals.
I attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville for an undergraduate degree and then the University of Central Arkansas in Conway for a Master's of Science Degree. I have licenses to practice as an LPC-ST (Licensed Professional Counselor) with supervision and technology specialties, LPE-I (Licensed Psychological Examiner with Independent Practice and a technology certificate), and LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor).
I tend to use Rogerian (Person-Centered) theory as a base and then build with Cognitive Behavioral tools.
When the COVID pandemic occurred in 2020, I made the accidental discovery that technology counseling was really enjoyable. I would not have believed that until I had to try it, due to necessity. Now, I'm actively pursuing this work at BetterHelp because of their technology platform.
People seem to describe my personality with words like calm, kind, understanding, patient, encouraging, and helpful. If that matches what you are looking for, then let's talk and find out what goals and directions interest you!

Karen has been most helpful. She listens and is very , knowledgeable, patient and laid back. I would highly recommend her.
Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for validating my emotions when I feel as if they’re silly.

Karen was a great help. Got me through what I needed help with.
Karen has been extremely helpful in helping my process the big changes in my life.
I was hesitant for years to try counseling, for so many reasons. But after my first session with Karen I knew I’d found exactly what I needed. She’s helped me through so much already in the last two months that I honestly don’t know how I would’ve made it out of things without her support. If you’re reading this and are looking for a sign that you need Karen in your life, HERE IS YOUR SIGN!
I have really enjoyed my experience with Karen! She’s been very helpful in working through some relationship issues. She is also very timely in replying to messages and sending articles related to my counseling with her.
Shes really patient and super kind. Encouraging to talk to and very lovely to be around!
She’s absolutely amazing, she hasn’t been my therapist very long only about 3 weeks. We are still getting to know each other but she has a very welcoming, warm environment even through video chat. I feel like she understands me and listens to what i’m saying and gives good responses to my problems that can help me deal with everyday life. I would recommend Mrs.Infield to another.
Karen is nice and competent.
Karen is extremely good at what she does and she has helped me so much. We’ve only talked a few times but I’m so glad I have her to talk to.
