I’ve been a clinician for about 30 years and I have learned the importance of the relationship between clinician and client in counseling success. I have a Masters degree in Counseling and I use different approaches depending on the client. I primarily use mindfulness, client-centered and cognitive therapy, although solution focused therapy is also helpful in many cases. I view counseling as a collaboration between client and clinician and emphasize good communication to achieve my client’s goals. I really enjoy getting to know people and seeing successfully achieve their goals.
Additional areas of focus: Relationship issues, Anger management, Coaching, Compassion fatigue
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy

Karen was helpful but feel that a half hour is not sufficient.

I wish I had a counselor like her when I was a teenager, because for the first time I truly feel supported rather than judged. She knows what is really the problem even when I don’t, and not only helps me see it, but offers techniques to help me change my perspective. I’m grateful that I was matched with her. Thank you Karen for all your support!
