Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Missouri. I have over 16 years of experience working as a psychotherapist, life coach, hypnotherapist, Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist, Spiritual Director and inner child work. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to; depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma and addictions. In addition to my formal education, I have over a decade in study and practice with meditation, mindfulness and spiritual direction.
My counseling style is non-judgmental and accepting. One of my greatest gifts to you as a therapist is deep listening. I promise you will feel safe and comfortable to explore the issues and concerns that you are currently facing. My counseling approach combines many modalities which include: Transpersonal and Humanistic theories with Inner Child work, Mindfulness/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming, Internal Family Systems and Hypnosis . I like to ask lots of questions as I am always pointing you back to yourself and what will inspire growth and awareness from within. Because your situation is unique to you, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs . I am here to listen to you and your story; to support you through whatever it is that you are going through right now. You are not alone.
It takes courage and determination to seek a more fulfilling and happier life. If not now, when? If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to walk alongside you, to support you and empower you. I look forward to meeting you.

I came to therapy 5 months ago when going through a turbulent time in my life. Working with Karen has helped improve my self-esteem , my communication skills and has improved my understanding of myself and others around me. I now feel happier and more confident to navigate my way though lifes ups and downs. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone who wants to change and improve their life.

Although I had been interested in pursuing help from a counselor for the past couple of months, I was hesitant to start that journey because I had a poor experience with counseling in the past. However, deciding to work with Karen has been the best experience I have ever had in regard to my mental health. In just a few sessions with Karen, I have noticed drastic improvements to my emotional stability and general thought patterns. Not only is Karen friendly and professional, but she has also made me feel heard in a way that I never imagined I could be heard. Karen truly listens to the things I say as well as pointing out the things that I don't even have to voice. I now look forward to my counseling experience each time, and I am excited for the progress that I have made and will continue to make over time. Karen is a true professional and I encourage anyone who is on the fence about counseling to give Better Help a try--and if you're lucky enough--to work with Karen Will. :)
