Kari Viola-Brooke , LPC
About me
Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years working with children, families, and adults. I have worked with clients on a wide range of topics including dealing with depression, anxiety, issues experienced by the LGBTQ community, familial issues, sexual abuse, other traumas and stress. In addition, I also have extensive experience working with adults on professional growth and development, workplace issues, confidence building and compassion fatigue.
My method of therapy includes tailoring my approach to the client and working together to achieve goals. I strongly believe that that therapy should be a safe place for clients to find the strength and empowerment they need to overcome difficulties. I take a very solution-focused approach to counseling so that clients feel like they know what they are working towards and that they have the skills and tools needed to get them there. From the first session, I work with my clients to come up with long term and short term goals that we will serve as a road map for our time together.
Starting counseling is the first step towards getting to where you want to be in your life. You should be proud of yourself that you have taken the initiative to start looking for a therapist. There must be some things you want to feel better about, and I think we can work on them together! If it sounds like we may be a good fit I am excited for the opportunity to work with you!

Kari is amazing. I worked with her through some difficult times in romantic relationships. Kari helped me move past emotional trauma and to see everything for what is really was. I felt like she really understood me and never made me feel judged. Very responsive and good availability. She is just great overall!

I feel that Kari is doing a great job. I appreciate that her responses are very considerate and presented in a non-judgmental way. Though I am beginning to think my issues may be beyond the parameters of Betterhelp, in general, I always look forward to hearing from Kari and what she might suggest for me to work on.
