Karisha Richards, LPC
About me
Welcome and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a fully Licensed Professional Counselor with approximately 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. My specialty is transforming unhealthy outlooks, behaviors, and beliefs that were developed by difficult life experiences. I love to help my clients deconstruct these patterns and create more healthy, realistic ones. My mission is rooted in education, clinical experience, as well as spirituality and inner growth, not to be confused with religion.
The focus is building a relationship with The Creator and following His Word here on earth. I ask the questions that uncover the underlying meaning of your issue and what needs to be released in order to restore your energy, faith, health, mind, body, soul, relationships, motivation, self love, trust, and grace.
Rest assured my approach includes a focus on holistic care in addition to Spirit led assessment and compassion...we will review the whole you, without judgement or criticism. Assessing and creating goals in each area of your life often leads to improved mental health outcomes and a fulfilling quality of life. I utilize various tools such as active listening, paraphrasing, reflecting, and prayer in session. In between sessions, I offer personalized handouts, videos, and books for your review and reflection. offering new ideas and points of awareness to stretch the scope of your issue. I often apply Biblical Guidance, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques in each session.
If you are in need of counseling with a professional who is supportive, ethical, trustworthy, confidential, and reliable, then I am the counselor for you.

Out of our two sessions I feel a lot better. Hopefully this great experience continues!
