I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I have extensive experience assisting individuals overcome traumas including sexual violence and abuse, but have also worked individuals coping with anxiety, depression, bipolar, substance use, ADHD, and general life stress. I am a firm believer that different stages of life require different levels of support and encouragement, and I am ready to walk along side you in whatever stage you may find yourself.
I believe that the best therapeutic work is done in the context of a supporting genuine relationship. I believe strongly in empowering individuals to overcome the challenges they are facing through support and education. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for addressing trauma processing needs. Additionally, I frequently use narrative therapy approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and elements of motivational interviewing to empower clients to discover their own strengths within their stories.
I am happy to adjust treatment plans and communication styles to meet your individual needs and goals. None of life's challenge should be faced alone. It takes such courage to ask for help, and I am honored to take the next steps of your journey along side you.

I appreciate the way she really pays attention to what I'm saying and remembers to ask me about things that I've told her in previous sessions. She always responds pretty quickly and seems very knowledgeable about what she does.
She is patient and explains everything so you can understand what you're going through more. I like her a lot!
Kasey is the best counselor I have ever had and I’ve had many. She is wonderful at getting me to focus on the root of the problem and not get distracted. She is empathetic, smart and truly gifted. I feel so lucky to have found her!
I have only been using better help for a few weeks but I consider Kasey to be a huge asset to me and my performance in my everyday life and my long term mental health. She is smart and caring. I 100% trust her and I hope she continues to play this important role in my life for a long time. I know I will be better for it and I am looking forward to what I can accomplish with her help and guidance.
Wow! Six months in and I still feel incredibly blessed to have Kasey as my therapist. The work we have done and her insight into my life has helped me grow in ways I never imagined. Kasey is amazing and a very professional and knowledgeable therapist
Kasey has been an invaluable resource in my development of self and understanding of how we all interact. I will always be grateful to her for her guidance, knowledge and concern.
I have only been talking with Kasey for a couple of weeks, but she has made me feel so comfortable and she's so understanding. She's very knowledgeable and is great at guiding me when I'm having an off day. So glad I was able to choose her for counseling!
I really value that she responds very quickly and frequently checks up on me.
Kasey is helpful and understanding. She checks in on me when I don't have time to reach out and genuinely seems to care about my forward progress.
I am extremely pleased with my counselor Kasey Shaw, even though I’ve only had three sessions with her. She listened, took her time, did not rush me, her feedback totally made sense, everything was explained very precisely and in a kind manner. Felt like I was talking to a best friend, and no matter what I said, she wasn’t judgmental and I was super comfortable.
I honestly can’t wait till my next session with Kasey. I am soooooo grateful I got hooked up with her.
