Kateri Killman, LCSW
About me
I am a Trauma counselor licensed in Arkansas with over 10 years of experience. I am also a 20 year retired military veteran. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress, and military/veteran issues. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, cognitive processing theory and strength based counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

I have had only one meeting with my therapist. But so far she has been attentive, and interested in what I have to say. She gives me useful exercises that I employ. I trust as time progresses we would get to the bottom of whatever is really bothering me.

Kateri has helped me sort through so many things that previously seemed unsortable. She has helped me gain insight into why I do the things I do, and how to do them differently. She doesn't just help, but she teaches. She is fully committed to making certain I have all the information I need to make my life better and understand myself and my circumstances better as well. I highly recommend her!

Kateri is so patient and kind. She offers real-works assistance and suggestions and isn’t preachy about them. She is so compassionate and is thorough about checking in with you and helping you cope or find solutions. Anyone looking gentle guidance will find it with Kateri. I attempted to connect with 3 other therapists on here (two were good, but we just weren’t the right fit) before I found her and she was worth the search. I cannot recommend her enough.
