Katerina Konstantopoulos, LMHC
About me
Hello! My name is Katerina.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have over twenty years of post-graduate experience working in the mental health field. I have worked with clients with various and complex presenting needs including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, ADHD, and with crisis issues. I have also worked with clients who are on the Autism Spectrum. Many of the people I have worked with are coping with severe mental health issues, while others just need support coping with current situational stressors, like the ending of a relationship or changes in their work or school situation.
My treatment focus is based on the most important aspect of the treatment: the client! Your concerns, your goals, and your needs are the biggest priority. I enjoy helping my clients by working together to find ways to decrease distress and increase confidence, self-esteem, and enjoyment in daily living. I try to foster a relationship built on respect, teamwork, and recognition that you are the expert about your life. I hope to provide support, encouragement, and help increase coping skills and problem solving skills that best fit your style to meet your goals.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, light, and motivated. I believe in treating every person with respect, compassion, and I always meet a person where they are at in order to work together towards goals. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, and dialectical behavior. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to reach out, ask for help, and take the first steps towards change. Together, we can find the empowerment that can be difficult to reach sometimes! If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Katerina has been a fantastic help, always listening and giving thoughtful advice and recommandation! She helped me realise more about who I am and what is going on in my head, beyond the initial need for a counselor and I will always be grateful for that!

Katerina is very easy to talk to. It was nice to be able to discuss anything that was on my mind, and she provided another perspective to consider and helped me reassess my problems and priorities. We would even have a good laugh at some of the things bothering me, which is refreshing in a professional. She seems truly sweet and grounded.
