About me


Hi there, I’m glad to see you have taken the first step to feeling happier and healthier.

My name is Katharine and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have master’s degree in clinical social work and an additional master’s in sex and relationship therapy.

I believe that you have the strength in you to make big changes, and I am here to support and empower you to reach whatever goals you may have set. I understand that your relationship with your therapist is integral to you being successful in reaching your desired results. I have an optimistic mindset and work to encourage and build up the clients I see.

I work a solution focused approach, which means that I want to help you reach your goals quickly and efficiently. This often means that there is "homework" between our sessions to ensure you are working towards the changes you seek. If you're unsure about the solution focus approach and want to learn more, we can do a session to see if it would be a fit for you.

I have worked in different settings including private practice, medical settings, and community based mental health. I have seen clients who are struggling with familial conflict, communication, intimacy issues, body image, grief and loss, anxiety, caregiver stress, and challenging life transitions or adjustments.

Katharine has been amazing!! I have been working with her for a couple months now and she has helped me overcome my struggles and grow as a person. She always makes sure to stay up to date with everything I tell her and offers me the best advice. She has also given me useful tools to see things from a different perspective and see how far I have come, allowing me to better myself as a person. I've never had as good of a therapist at Katharine. She goes above and beyond and is so easy to talk to!

I was apprehensive to start virtual counseling and indicated to Katharine that I needed her to challenge me and she has been a formidable opponent (while being on my team) in challenging me to think differently and push me to think beyond my own scope. Shes been super helpful to me and I’m very grateful for her therapeutic approach.

I've seen a variety of different counselors over the past 5 years and Katharine has been my favorite so far. I always feel like she's there to help and never criticizes how I'm feeling like I've had other counselors do. Very happy with her service!

I have had the best experience with Katharine as my counselor. She listens and she remembers what I say and that goes to show how actively she is engaged with helping me. She always answers messages timely if I message via BH but our weekly sessions are via video and are great. I have had a few local/in person therapists in the past that honestly just turned me off to the idea of therapy.... they either tried to push religion on me or I had to repeat things every session because they didn’t remember or pay attention the last time. My experience with Katharine is nothing like that. She has honestly been a shining light for me and I am so happy that I decided to take the plunge and come to Better Help for counseling.
