About me

Over my 25 plus years of therapeutic experience, I have had many wonderful opportunities to work directly with clinical experts in most diagnostic areas, across a wide variety of settings, with clients from many different cultures and walks of life, and spanning all ages (from early childhood to geriatric). For this reason, I am very comfortable treating most issues and well versed in many different treatment modalities. That said, I specialize in trauma based disorders and cross-cultural work. (And although I am fluent in only english, I thank my former clients for bits and pieces of about a dozen other languages or dialects, and many other lovely lessons.) My style is warm and accepting. I truly enjoy my work. And if you decide to reach out to me, I would feel privileged to guide you. Katherine

Written on Oct 23, 2017 after therapy with Katherine for 6 months on issues concerning relationship

Katherine is very understanding and patient. She knows what to ask in order to unravel underlying motivations such as fear and anxieties, so that I understand myself better. The many years of experience she has counseling has also helped in providing me with anecdotal evidence similar to what I am going through, which helps me in knowing that I am not alone in going through my trauma. Thankful to have support in the form of counseling with Katherine.

Katherine seems like a very calm, caring person who has gently helped me "feel" that someone is there that I can always reach out to in a moment of panic! No one can ever really understand someone else, but all we need a listening friend to help with The Journey. Good luck to all of you out there!
