Hello! My name is Katherine Garity and I’ve been a therapist for almost 15 years in a variety of settings including private practice, large healthcare systems, and schools. I’m glad you found the courage to invest in yourself! It can feel like a big step but one worth taking.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with all ages but now work primarily with adults who struggle with stress, anxiety, anger, interpersonal problems, codependency, parenting challenges, blended families, and career transitions. In addition to my clinical experience, I have extensive experience in Human Resources, so I also enjoy working with those who are in the midst of career struggles, experiencing workplace difficulties, and senior leaders interested in becoming more effective in their role.

In this crazy, fast-paced world it seems that a solution focused approach combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tends to work well. However, there may be times when we need to slow down and peal back the layers to get to the heart of the matter. In the end, my style is empathic, empowering, and directive.

I believe we all have a natural drive to flourish. I understand how overwhelming therapy can be. You may feel that you'll never get "unstuck", but I'll be there every step of the way, holding hope for you, until you find your own strength and inspiration. It would be my privilege to support you as you create changes and experience healing in your life.

I absolutely loved working with Katherine Garity. She really made me feel heard and was so patient and compassionate. She is a wonderful listener with extremely helpful insights backed by her experience and obvious skill as a therapist. Really enjoying my sessions with Katherine. I was very hesitant in seeking out therapy because "I'm not the therapy type" and I figured i would have a hard time opening up. First session I had with Katherine I felt very comfortable and was able to open right up and the session went by way quicker than I expected.

Sessions are productive and discussions lead to plans and action.
