Hey there! My name is Kat Nazaroff and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Texas. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families who have been impacted by the use, misuse, and addiction of drugs and alcohol. I also work with adults who want to learn more about themselves by talking about and exploring the families they come from. I have a wide range of experience working with adults and teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, boundary setting, and questions of identity.
I really cherish the therapy space and believe that it needs to feel safe and comfortable. My therapy style is warm and inviting and I try to find space for humor. You are the expert on your own life so we'll work together to develop goals and strategies to help you live the life you want. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and find that it helps me clients with a variety of internal struggles. I am also trained in The Daring Way, work pioneered by Brene Brown. It is work that can be incredibly powerful in developing more authentic relationships with ourselves and others.
I could spend more time telling you about the things I specialize in or the training I have but what I really want you to know is this- you deserve to be seen, heard and known. Often times we go about our daily lives and don't stop to think how we're feeling or how we're being impacted by the world around us. I believe the therapy space is one where you can take that breath. We will do work together that at sometimes can be challenging but I believe it's so worthwhile.
If you're a veteran in therapy or if you're brand new, I'd love to meet you and just hear your story.
