Kathleen Arbuckle

(MEd, LPC-S)

About Me

I am a private practice Licensed Professional Counselor with Supervision certification in the state of Texas since the year 2000. I live just north of San Antonio, Texas in Spring Branch. My background includes 27 years in public education as an all level (K-12) special education teacher and school counselor. Online therapy has been a part of my practice for almost 4 years now.

As a parent, educator, and therapist I have specialized in the study and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for more than 30 years. My oldest son, now a grown man, was diagnosed with ADHD at age 6. He was a whirlwind of energy and we never knew what he was going to do next. This young man is grown with two college degrees, married, and a full-time job. He taught me a lot about managing ADHD. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults using primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as relaxation and hypnosis techniques. Depression and anxiety are two of the other disorders I have a lot of experience treating.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Roger, for 30 years. My 3 grown sons have all graduated from college and are married. Randall, Aaron, and Benjamin’s wives are all beautiful, educated, sweet young women. My middle son is the father of my 3 grandchildren. I am very blessed.

I am so glad to have found Kathleen. It has been extremely helpful to have someone that I can talk to about things that are important to me. I feel like I am making positive strides toward better mental health and being the best person I can be.
