I have a great interest in helping others with their daily life, their mental health and their relationships. I believe a therapist can be the objective support person that all people need. I believe that no one can do it alone. First and foremost is establishing a therapeutic relationship. I believe you need to have a connection with a therapist in order to build trust.
I have over 15 years of counseling experience in the state of Missouri. The last 4+ years I have been working with people who have mental health diagnosis. I can help with normalizing your feelings, concerns and worries and help you problem solve to make your life more complete. Some of the theories I utilize in my practice are Cognitive Behavior and Dialectical Behavior. I think it is important to be able to talk about your thoughts and ways of changing them or accepting them. It's important to understand and be able to define your feelings and make a connection between behaviors, thoughts and feelings. Some of the skills that I teach and utilize in my practice are related to mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional regulation.
