My name is Kathleen Gordon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona with 35 years experience. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Master's in Social Work and a concentration in direct practice. My clinical training is in Brief Solution Oriented Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, HeartMath and Mindfulness. I have experience in medical social work with older and disabled adults, psychiatric setting for teens, foster care with children and adults, hospice, K-12 public school, private practice with adults in individual, couple and group work. I have also worked in a legal office. My experience has been working with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, grief and loss related to death, relationship changes, life transitions, parenting, career transitions.
I think the client/counselor connection is the most important piece in the emotional work. My approach to counseling is warm, empathetic and non-judgmental. The focus is on you and your healing. It would be my privilege to work with you and help facilitate finding solutions to any of the above listed issues or if you have other issues you may want to discuss.
