About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Kelsie and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Colorado. My lifelong interest has been in mind-body therapy which led me to become Board Certified in Biofeedback (BCIA certified) in 1995. For many years I worked with the physical effects of stress and trauma on the nervous system. My specialty was teaching chronic pain and headache patients how to relax deeply even with their pain. For ten years I was affiliated with Boulder Community Hospital’s Pain Management Program.

My first book, the award-winning Migraines Be Gone, was released in 2006 and my second book, The Stress Mess, was released in 2008. Both books are based in the science of biofeedback and mind-body relaxation skills.

Currently, I focus on assisting people with mental and/or emotional symptoms of trauma and stress. These symptoms may include panic attacks, racing thoughts, anger, depression, anxiety, feelings of being overwhelmed, excess worry or nervousness, sleep disorders, and difficulty quieting the mind. In a nutshell, I teach people to calm and control their autonomic nervous system to eliminate the mental and emotional symptoms of stress and trauma. As a result of relaxing the mind, you may find your body becoming more relaxed and at ease.

One of my goals has always been to leave people with practical skills they can integrate into their lives to calm the body and still the mind; therefore experiencing more happiness, joy, and peace. I strive to create a safe environment with compassion, empathy, and respect. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and I would be honored to walk alongside you in this exciting journey.
